Why did you decide to start a company? The last two companies I’d worked for sold into schools. I noticed extreme payment delays at both, so we started investigating and found it was a common problem in the education space as well as many other large, legacy industries. So we decided to fix it.
What is one thing that you want people to know about your company? We’re hyper-focused on fixing payments in education right now, but there are many other huge industries with similar dynamics. Long-term success is when we’ve fixed payments in all of them.
When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up? Did you always know you wanted to be an entrepreneur? I had no idea what I wanted to be. Still don’t. But meandering my way through a professional career by chasing my interests has been a lot of fun. Entrepreneurship is probably the best way to do it.
What is one piece of advice you’d like to pass on to new founders? It’s difficult but it’s worth it. Even if the money never comes, it’s worth it.
