CEO fun fact: Born on the Fourth of July! I came alone at 14 years old from Chennai, India to Washington DC for a few months of Tennis. I found a new family that welcomed me into their home, took me to celebrate my first American birthday to a fireworks show and said it was all for me, and I made a decision then that I’m never leaving America. I’m an American citizen now and living the American Dream.

Why did you decide to start a company? When I got my Green Card, I founded my first startup.

What is one thing that you want people to know about Zingtree? Amazing Product Market Fit — over 700 companies in 51 countries including various Fortune 500 Enterprises, most of whom signed up, provisioned the system, completed the integration on their own, and were getting tremendous value.

When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up? Did you always know you wanted to be an entrepreneur? Wanted to be the #1 Tennis Player in the world — failed miserably…didn’t even come close to it :). I didn’t know what entrepreneurship was as a kid but looking back on my life, I can say that I always wanted to be an entrepreneur.

What is one piece of advice you’d like to pass on to new founders? There are no shortcuts to success so remember that if it is too easy, it’s probably not worth it.
