Introduction

I’m new to this whole blogging thing, but thought I’d give it a go. Why? Because I want to give back by sharing tidbits of knowledge that I’ve learned over the past few years about the startup and venture capital ecosystem.

What will I blog about?

1. Advice for startup founders — like how to perfect your pitch, how to win over seed stage investors, how to walk the walk and talk the talk.
2. Advice for aspiring VCs — like many others in the industry, I unexpectedly fell into venture capital. I had the opportunity back in 2017 to work on a startup in the drone space that was being incubated within GE Ventures. Little did I know, the role would launch me into a whole world full of opportunities, challenges, and career choices that I never saw coming. I feel incredibly fortunate to be in a career that brings me joy and also brings innovation to our economy. I am here to help others learn more about the industry because contrary to popular belief, there are always more seats at the table.
3. Random thoughts — I’m a huge fan of short form everything. I hate reading long posts, listening to long podcasts, etc. as I usually get bored about halfway through. This blog will be a platform for me to share random thoughts and learnings that come to mind — anything from world news to books that I’m reading to tips for remaining productive while working from home.
